Spring Cleaning

There is something about the smell of fresh rain ☔️ that gets me in the mood!! 😊
The mood for spring cleaning that is. 🌸
In my opinion one of life’s simple pleasures is transforming a depressing cluttered space into an organized and efficient, or cozy and comforting space to live your authentic life.
I have found there are several steps I need to take in order to set myself up for a productive cleanup day.
Step one: I must have an empty house. I have never been able to clean efficiently with people around. So for the really big jobs, I wait till I have a few hours with nobody home.
Step two: I wear comfortable clothing and comfortable shoes so that I can run up and down the stairs quickly. 🏠

When you live in a trilevel that is all you do all day is up-and-down and up-and-down. Do not ever buy one of these homes if you are over the age of 50!!
Step three: I have to clear away the clutter and typically vacuum the floors at least before I start on any type of organization. So I technically clean before I clean. Sort of like what you do before your cleaning lady comes. 😂 This is so you have a blank canvas and can reach the difficult spots.
From there I usually have a garbage basket or large plastic bag to remove the garbage from the space. Then you will divide the clutter to Goodwill or Keep
Once I fill a Goodwill bag it goes right into the backseat of the car and out of my house forever!!
Finally I put on some music and get to work.
Finishing up with essential oil’s or other things that smell awesome and motivate me to keep it nice and clean.
It also helps to use products that smell nice while you are cleaning. It will motivate you to keep going, actually motivate you to even get started!!
I love this YouTube channel. She has awesome cleaning and organizational ideas. Click below to learn how to make your house smell amazing.
I hope this motivates you to clean up a tiny corner of your home, before you know it your whole home will be gleaming!!
XOXO,
Jenny
